SimpleSearch - Search Pages Made Simple

Do you have a single file of relatively simple data you'd like to make searchable on a webpage? If so, then this project is for you.

Here are a couple common usage scenarios:

Small library wants online catalog
Small business wants searchable online employee directory

If your data can be made into a tab-separated text file (export from a spreadsheet!), then you can have SimpleSearch by doing the following:

Download these files:
search_php (rename as search.php)
config_php (rename as config.php)
simplesearch.css
Export your data into a tab-separated-values file; these usually have the suffix ".tsv".
Edit config.php.
Edit simplesearch.css.
Create a php file that includes simplesearch.css within the <head> and search.php within the <body>. See this file for a simple example.
